Samsung is expanding One UI to smart home devices — refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and more. The company promises up to seven years of support from launch.

One UI will first appear on home devices released in 2024. They will begin receiving updates in September 2025. The platform will include Samsung apps and services such as Bixby, Gallery, and Samsung TV Plus, which will be available on various screen types to "ensure seamless device interaction and media consumption."

One UI will also improve Device Connectivity with SmartThings, which integrates all supported home devices into a single ecosystem with easy access to all the necessary features.

The goal of bringing One UI to home devices is also to unify the user experience, including through a common interface and features like Now Brief, which will provide personalized and relevant information. Users will be able to get quick updates on the weather, family schedules, recipes, home information like how much time is left until the end of the laundry cycle, and more.

Among other things, using One UI on home devices will add better security through improved Knox Security and Trust Chain features, smart features like AI Vision Inside, a refreshed interface introduced on 2025 devices, and more.
