Samsung has officially launched its budget smartphone Galaxy A17 5G in Europe. The price starts at €229, but some markets offer additional bonuses, writes SamMobile.
In Germany, Galaxy A17 5G buyers will receive a Galaxy SmartTag 2 worth €39.90 as a gift until September 18. In addition, Samsung Members members can take advantage of an additional 10% discount, which allows you to purchase the phone for €206 with a gift. SmartTag 2 integrates with the SmartThings platform and allows you to track luggage, keys, pets and other objects via a mobile app.
As for the characteristics of the Galaxy A17 5G, it received a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an Exynos 1330 processor and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory with the ability to expand via microSD. The smartphone is equipped with a triple camera: a 50 MP main module with optical image stabilization, a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2 MP macro. The front camera has 13 MP for selfies.
Additionally, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, support for 25W fast charging, and IP54 dust and water resistance. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
Samsung promises to support the Galaxy A17 5G with OS and security updates for six years. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 15 ( One UI 7).
The new smartphone has also appeared on Samsung's Ukrainian website, but there is no price yet. The Galaxy A17 for the Ukrainian market will feature a MediaTek G99 processor and will have 4G support.
