Samsung has announced that the stable version of One UI 8 will begin rolling out in September 2025. The Galaxy S25 series smartphones will be the first to receive the update, after which it will be expanded to other compatible devices.
At this point, five One UI 8 betas have been released for the Galaxy S25. A sixth beta is expected, but Samsung has confirmed that this will not affect the final release schedule - the update will arrive next month.
The Galaxy Fold7 and Galaxy Flip7 come with One UI 8 out of the box, while owners of other models will receive the firmware after testing is complete. The company did not name exact dates, but the update process will continue in stages, covering more and more compatible devices. The update will be available to owners of smartphones in the Galaxy S21 FE series and later, Galaxy Fold/Flip 4 and later, as well as Galaxy A17 and later generations.
One UI 8 is based on Android 16 and includes new personalization features, performance optimizations, and security improvements. The company is expected to announce details on the model list and deployment schedule in September.
