A year ago, Russian tech bloggers got their hands on a MacBook Pro with the M4 chip before it was officially announced. This year, history repeats itself: an unannounced iPad Pro with the M5 processor has been leaked online. The first video appeared on the Wylsacom channel, reports Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.

Judging by the box shown in the video, this is a 13-inch iPad Pro with an M5 chip, 256 GB of memory, and in Space Black.

The new iPad Pro doesn't look much different from the current M4 models: it still has a single rear camera, four speakers, and a Smart Connector. There is one small change, however: the "iPad Pro" logo is no longer on the back of the device.

According to the Geekbench 6 benchmark results shown in the video, the M5 chip delivers up to 12-15% better multi-core CPU performance compared to the M4 in the iPad Pro. Like the M4, it has a 9-core processor with three performance cores and six power-efficient cores. As for graphics, the Metal benchmark shows the M5 GPU delivering up to 35% better performance than the M4.

The test results also show that the iPad Pro with 256GB of storage has 12GB of RAM, the same as the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. In comparison, the iPad Pro with M4 and 256GB had only 8GB of RAM.

As expected, the leaked iPad Pro runs on iPadOS 26, and the settings show that the battery was manufactured in August 2025.

In addition to the M5, the next iPad Pro will have a dual front-facing camera. One for FaceTime and the other for Deskview mode.

Apple will probably officially introduce the iPad Pro with the M5 chip in October.
