During the presentation of the new Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro smartphones, the Chinese company also introduced new tablets, including the updated Redmi Pad 2 Pro line and the all-new compact Xiaomi Pad Mini.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro lineup includes the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version, and Pad 2 Pro 5G. The tablets feature a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and TÜV Rheinland certifications. The Matte Glass version features an advanced AG nano-texture coating that reduces glare and reflections by up to 97% and creates a paper-like surface for reading, drawing, or taking notes.
The entire line has 12,000 mAh batteries with 33 W charging, as well as 27 W reverse charging, which will allow you to use the tablets as a power bank. The 4-nanometer Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor is responsible for performance. The regular and 5G versions have 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB configurations, while the Matte Glass version comes only in the 8/256 GB version.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro and the Matte Glass version feature 8MP cameras on the front and rear, while the 5G model has a better 13MP rear camera. All tablets support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and eSIM, and are also compatible with the Redmi Smart Pen, Pad 2 Pro Keyboard, and Pad 2 Pro Cover.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro is available in Graphite Gray, Silver and Lavender Purple, starting at €299 for the 6/128GB version. The 5G version in Graphite Gray and Silver starts at €379. The Matte Glass model is available only in Graphite Gray and costs €379.
Another new product is the compact and small Xiaomi Pad Mini. Designed to "set a new standard for portability and performance." The tablet is equipped with an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 3008 x 1880 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 700 nits.
The Xiaomi Pad Mini is equipped with the same processor as the Xiaomi 15T Pro — the 3-nanometer MediaTek Dimensity 9400+. Battery life is provided by a 7500 mAh battery with support for 67 W HyperCharge charging. The tablet also has 18 W reverse charging and as many as two Type-C ports, one of which is USB 3.2 Gen 1.
Finally, the tablet is equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The company offers accessories such as Xiaomi Focus Pen, Redmi Smart Pen and Xiaomi Pad Mini Cover. The price of the new product for the 8/256 GB version is $429.
