Google has announced a new Home Speaker that will feature deep integration with its Gemini AI assistant. The company promises that custom-tuned processing will allow users to have more natural and lively conversations with the assistant.
A key feature of the new device will be a light ring that will change colors depending on whether the AI is listening, processing a request, or responding. Google Home Premium subscribers will be able to access the Gemini Live feature directly through the speaker.
The speaker will also feature 360-degree sound, and the pair will be able to work with the Google TV Streamer to create a home theater with a surround sound effect. At the same time, the Home will remain compatible with other Google Nest speakers, allowing it to integrate into your existing ecosystem. For those concerned about privacy, there is a physical button to mute the microphone.
The new product will go on sale in the spring of 2026 at a price of $99. Users will be offered four body colors: porcelain, hazel, jade, and berry. Sales will start immediately in several markets, including the USA, Canada, most European countries, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
