Samsung has released One UI 8 based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is the last major operating system update that the smartphones will receive, reports SamMobile.
The S90xBXXUIGYI7 software update is already available to European smartphone owners, with expansion to other regions expected in the coming days.
The Galaxy S22 line was released in 2022 with One UI 4 based on Android 12. Samsung promised four major OS updates, so Android 16 will be the last version. Smartphones will still receive One UI 8.5 next year, but One UI 9 with Android 17 is not worth expecting.
Recall that One UI 8 brings several changes to the interface that make it more organized and convenient, adds new features to DeX, an improved private folder, updates to some system applications, and other innovations.
