Reference: NUNC Capital is a European firm that has been investing in defense tech since 2013. Its headquarters are in Amsterdam. The company is part of the Ukrainian defense builder Brave1, and is also a partner of the European Defense Tech network, which organizes industry hackathons in Europe. It also cooperates with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

NUNC Capital noted that by launching a venture builder with a focus on Ukrainian startups, the firm plans to "create a strategic bridge between European markets and the ecosystem of Ukrainian defense innovations." For clarity, we note that a venture builder is a combination of a venture fund and a startup studio: a business model that allows you to create businesses from scratch and support them at all stages of development, attracting internal financial and intellectual resources.

According to Bram Oostvogel, CEO of NUNC Capital, recent geopolitical events have prompted the firm to expand its operations in Ukraine to help local startups, collaborate with them, and launch new ones. “We want to address critical gaps in European defense technologies by leveraging rapid Ukrainian innovations from the battlefield. This coincides with recent challenges in Europe that are driving the mobilization of private financing and better use of existing financial instruments,” said the CEO of NUNC Capital.

Recall that recently, Ukrainian defense tech company Huless, which is engaged in the creation of so-called "tethered" drones, attracted $ 1 million in investment for the development of Highline-T drones that use fiber-optic communication. "Tethered" drones are drones that connect to a ground power station; they remain in the air for a long time, performing critical functions, such as relaying communications or electronic reconnaissance.
