Samsung has introduced a new line of Galaxy A smartphones, led by the Galaxy A56 model, which has received many updates compared to its predecessor.
One of the main changes is support for 45W fast charging, which was previously only available for flagship models. The novelty is also equipped with a new faster Exynos 1580 chip, which has a maximum operating frequency of 2.9 GHz and a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, which has a Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and also supports a peak brightness of 1900 nits. The screen and the back of the smartphone are covered with Gorilla Glass Victus + protective glass, and the body has an aluminum frame and is protected from water and dust according to the IP67 standard. The thickness of the device has decreased to 7.4 mm, and the camera island has been redesigned and now has a capsule shape.
This island has the same cameras as its predecessor – a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP macro lens. However, the front camera has been updated and now features a new 12MP sensor. The image processing algorithm is now driven by artificial intelligence, which improves night photos and videos, as well as the speed of burst shooting.
The Galaxy A56 runs on the latest Android 15 and the company's One UI 7.0 interface. The smartphone has received 6 years of security updates and 6 Android OS updates.
The device has a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged to 100% in 68 minutes using the company's 45W charger.
The smartphone will be available in four colors: Graphite Gray, Light Gray, Olive and Pink. The price in Europe for the 8/128 GB memory version will be €479, and for the 8/256 GB version - €529.
