Mark Rober, an engineer who worked at NASA for nine years developing the Curiosity Mars rover and now has a YouTube channel with over 70 million subscribers, will get his own show on Netflix.
On his channel Mark Rober, he conducts various experiments, talks about popular science topics, and builds gadgets. On Netflix, Rober will be working on a new competition show for kids and the whole family, which will be released on the streaming platform in 2026.
The new show will be produced by Rober's company CrunchLabs in collaboration with Jimmy Kimmel's production company Kimmelot. Executive producers will be Rober, CrunchLabs chief content officer Scott Lewers, and Kimmelot president Scott Lonker.
"I love turning learning into a game, basically hiding the vegetables in the dessert, and now it’s a full-on competition game show!" says Rober. "When you’re having fun, you’re learning without even realizing it. And teaming up with Netflix and Jimmy Kimmel to make this happen? This is gonna be epic!"
In addition to the new show, Mark Rober will also release some of his experiments on Netflix in late 2025.
