LG has introduced a new 40-inch UltraFine 40WT95UF monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and Thunderbolt 5 support. According to the company, it is suitable for people who process data and want more space for it.
According to LG's press release, the new UltraFine is the world's first 5K2K (5120 x 2160) monitor with Thunderbolt 5 support. The target audience for the new product is workers in data-intensive industries such as finance and IT.
The LG UltraFine 40WT95UF features IPS Black technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium. With Thunderbolt 5, it delivers fast data transfers of up to 80Gbps, easy connectivity to high-performance peripherals, and laptop charging.
In addition, the monitor also features several other ports, such as USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort 2.1, and RJ45. Unfortunately, these are all the available details about the new product so far, as LG has not disclosed the price or availability of the monitor.
We remind you that this is not the first LG monitor with Thunderbolt 5 support. In February of this year, during CES 2025, the company introduced the 6K UltraFine 32U990A monitor, but as with the 40WT95UF, it did not announce the price or when it could be expected to go on sale.
