LG has introduced the new UltraFine 6K monitor, the 32U990A, at CES 2025, featuring connectivity via Thunderbolt 5.
The Thunderbolt 5 cable offers a bandwidth of 120 Gbps in one direction and a power delivery of 240W. It can be used to connect external SSDs, GPUs, and high-resolution, high-refresh-rate monitors.
Thunderbolt 5 cables have been available for nearly six months, but until now, there have been very few devices to connect them to.
The 32U990A monitor features advanced Nano IPS Black technology, ensuring high color accuracy, enhanced contrast, and wide color coverage, including 99.5% Adobe RGB and 98% DCI-P3.
Nano IPS Black technology is designed to deepen blacks and reduce the gap between miniLED and IPS monitors.
Pricing for the LG UltraFine 6K 32U990A has not yet been announced. Additionally, some specifications, such as the exact screen size, remain unknown.
