Lenovo introduced two AI device concepts at Mobile World Congress – a standalone stick that adds a neural processing unit (NPU) to any PC, and an AI-powered monitor that can adjust its height independently.
The AI monitor is part of Lenovo's commitment to "smarter technology for all." This monitor features a discrete graphics unit and a neural processor that enhances the display's capabilities and provides additional computing power.
With large speech models, the monitor can adapt to the user's movements and automatically rotate, change height and tilt angle to optimize viewing angles. The monitor is also used to enable PCs without an NPU to use large speech models.
Another Lenovo concept is the AI Stick, which will also add some power to your PC for artificial intelligence. Despite the fact that this stick has a rather low TOPS performance - only 32, while graphics cards like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 have over 3000, it will allow you to use Lenovo's AI and better reproduce large language models locally on your PC.
The AI Stick will use Thunderbolt to connect to your PC. It can also be plugged into a wall outlet to unleash maximum performance for complex AI tasks.
Lenovo is not yet saying when or if such products will be available for sale, but the company has also introduced laptops with foldable screens and solar panels.
