Hideo Kojima has released the first full-length teaser for his new Xbox project, OD. The three-minute trailer, titled OD: Knock, showcases the psychological horror that the studio has been promising since the announcement.

In the video, Sophia Lillis' character opens a red door and lights candles, some of which are shaped like babies, as someone tries to enter the room. The atmosphere of fear emphasizes the game's horror direction.

The development is being done on the Unreal Engine, and Microsoft is actively helping Kojima Productions with the technical part. Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that the work is "progressing well" and called OD "a bold, unique and recognizable project from Kojima." This is the first game from the studio to abandon its own Decima Engine in favor of Unreal, which, according to Kojima, is "a step ahead of the technology of Death Stranding 2."

OD is positioned as something between a game and a film, an experiment with the "threshold of fear" of players. Director Jordan Peele is also involved in the project, but he is working on a separate part of the project, which may explain the subtitle Knock.

The release date for OD is still unknown, but Xbox and Kojima Productions promise innovations in gameplay, story, and player interaction.
