Jade Raymond, who founded Haven Studios and led it after Sony acquired it, has left the company. PlayStation has not explained the reasons for her dismissal, Bloomberg reports.
The change comes weeks after the external testing of Fairgames' debut game Haven, an online shooter. According to Bloomberg, some developers were concerned about the project's progress and reception. PlayStation said it was "deeply grateful for her leadership and contributions" and confirmed it would support the studio under the leadership of Marie-Eve Danis and Pierre-François Sapinski.
Jade Raymond is one of the most famous women in game development. She started her career at Ubisoft and led the development of the first Assassin's Creed. She also worked on the Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell series. She later held leadership positions at Electronic Arts and Google Stadia, and in 2021 founded Haven Studios, which Sony acquired in 2022.
Fairgames is one of the few PlayStation service projects still in development. The game was planned to be released in the fall of 2025, but the release was postponed to the spring of 2026. Other similar games have either been canceled or removed from sale, as was the case with Concord.
