Intel said the deal with NVIDIA does not change its product plans and the company will continue to release graphics solutions under the Arc brand, an Intel representative told PCWorld.

Under the terms of the agreement, NVIDIA will invest $5 billion in Intel and supply RTX graphics chiplets for integration directly into the company's processors. This could affect Intel's product development plans, as the new chiplets expand the capabilities of the CPU, but at the same time raise doubts about the future of its own Arc graphics cores.

Intel emphasizes that the collaboration with NVIDIA is "complementary" to existing plans, not a replacement. The company confirmed that it will continue to develop its own GPU products.

Intel's current public roadmap includes Panther Lake processors, expected to be released in the fall of 2025, and Nova Lake in the second half of 2026. There's also mention of a potential Wildcat Lake chip. All of these plans remain unchanged, according to the company.

Analysts note that the partnership with NVIDIA could lead to the emergence of premium processor options for gaming, content creators and business segments. At the same time, the prospects for the Arc line remain uncertain, as Intel has been cutting costs and reviewing secondary areas in recent years.
