Chinese Insta360 has launched a new pocket-sized action camera, the GO Ultra, which is capable of recording 4K60fps video and, unlike the GO 3S, supports microSD memory cards up to 2TB with the ability to quickly replace them. The new product has already gone on sale at a price of $449.
Memory isn't the only advantage the GO Ultra has over the previous generation. Compared to the GO 3S, the new device has a 1/1.28-inch sensor — 221% larger. It also features a 5-nanometer AI chip, compared to the 14-nanometer one in the previous version.
GO Ultra also offers AI technologies for the PureVideo feature, which uses algorithms to reduce visual noise and increase brightness in low-light conditions.
The camera weighs just 53g, and the built-in magnetic base lets you mount it anywhere for shooting from different angles. Insta360 has also updated the magnetic pendant and introduced a wide range of accessories, such as a hat clip. In addition, the GO Ultra is IPX8 water and dust resistant, allowing it to be submerged up to 10 meters.
Without additional accessories, the camera works for 70 minutes, and with the Action Pod — up to 200. In addition, the GO Ultra supports fast charging: 80% in 12 minutes.
