Half-Life 2 RTX, a custom mod remaster of Valve's classic shooter, was announced almost two years ago. The developer is Orbifold Studios, and it uses the NVIDIA RTX Remix platform, which was released in beta a year ago.
And now the Half-Life 2 RTX demo has finally been released - you can download it from the Steam page. This happened at the same time as NVIDIA RTX Rem ix came out of beta - so we can hope that there will be more similar projects modernizing classic games in the future.
Half-Life 2 RTX has full ray tracing, new textures, models, DLSS 4 support with multiple frame generation, etc. The demo contains two chapters - "We don't go to Ravenholm..." and Nova Prospekt, the full release date is not yet announced.
