Gmail has a new Purchases tab that collects all emails related to purchases and deliveries in one place.
Users will be able to quickly view information about upcoming and past orders without having to search for them in the mail or go to the carriers' websites. At the same time, notifications about packages that are due to arrive within 24 hours will still be displayed at the top of the interface, as before.
The feature expands on the delivery tracking capabilities that launched in 2022 and will be especially useful during the holiday season, Google says. The update has already begun rolling out to Gmail on the web and mobile apps for personal Google account holders around the world.
Google is also updating the Promotions category to help you sort ads by "most relevant" and get tips on upcoming discounts and deals from your favorite brands. This change will be rolling out to mobile in the coming weeks.
