Samsung 's new Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone has surprised experts with its extreme durability despite its ultra-thin body. Well-known tech blogger JerryRigEverything conducted a series of tests to check how resistant the phone is to physical stress.
One of the main features of the Galaxy S25 Edge is its titanium frame, which provides greater strength compared to aluminum. The device's screen is also protected by the latest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the back panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which also adds to the durability of the smartphone. In addition, the S25 Edge is IP68 certified, which guarantees protection against dust and water.
During the test, the blogger tried to damage the device's case using various methods, but the smartphone passed all the tests with dignity.
In one of the tests, JerryRigEverything tried to bend the smartphone with force, but it did not break or deform in any way. The Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen also showed high resistance to heat - after 30 seconds of exposure to fire, it did not receive any damage.
The tech blogger admitted that he expected the Galaxy S25 Edge to be fragile due to its thin body, but the smartphone exceeded all expectations. Compared to other devices, such as the iPad Pro, which bends and breaks easily, Samsung's new product demonstrates decent durability.
