Samsung recently introduced the new Galaxy Fold7, which broke the company's record for pre-orders. To repeat the success next year, the company decided to prepare two models of the device, reports ETNews.
The two Galaxy Fold8 models will differ in screen aspect ratios. The new one will have a wider internal screen with an 18:18 aspect ratio compared to the 10:9 aspect ratio of this year's model.
Samsung has reportedly shared its plans for expanding the Galaxy Fold lineup with component suppliers. As with previous models, the devices will be unveiled in the second half of the year, likely in the summer of 2026.
The Galaxy Fold8 is expected to be announced shortly before the official presentation of Apple's first foldable smartphone, which prompted Samsung to experiment.
By the way, it was also previously reported that the South Korean company plans to be the first to introduce a screen without creases.
