Valve founder Gabe Newell is buying Oceanco, a yacht building company, and is currently working on his own $400 million supercar, The Verge reports.

An official statement from Oceanco says that Newell's interest in the company is due to his "lifelong fascination for the sea" and "deep respect for the people who live and work on it."

His first decision as leader was to simply give the team a break, as they already had a vision for the future.

"His first decision? Leave the team alone. Seriously. Oceanco has vision and integrity, and a culture that actually works. Gabe doesn’t want to fix it, he wants to fuel it," the statement said.

Oceanco is a Dutch company founded in 1987. In addition to building Newell's yacht, which will be approximately 111 meters long, the company also worked on Jeff Bezos's yacht Koru, which is 127 meters long and cost about $500 million.

This is not the first yacht for Newell - his collection already includes Draak (formerly known as Tranquility), also built by Oceanco, and Rocinante, created by the German company Lürssen.

Recall that earlier this year, Newell invested in a new startup, Starfish Technologies, which develops brain-computer interfaces (BCIs).
