One of Gemini Live's new features allows users to show a chatbot their screen and ask questions about its content. Google announced that the feature will be available for free on all Android smartphones.
The AI-powered feature officially launched in early April 2025 exclusively for Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 owners using the Gemini app. Google initially said the feature would be available to all Android users only with a Gemini Advanced subscription. However, the company has now changed its mind and decided to make the feature free for everyone.
"We’ve been hearing great feedback on Gemini Live with camera and screen share, so we decided to bring it to more people," Google writes.
Traditionally for Google, full deployment will take several weeks. Recall that the company first showed this feature in May 2024 at the Google I/O conference as part of Project Astra.
