Meta has returned to Facebook's original idea and once again gives users the ability to follow only their friends, instead of browsing an algorithmic feed. This innovation is already available in the US and Canada, and will appear in other regions later.
To access the new tab, click on the profile icon in the mobile app and select Friends. This bar can also be pinned for easier access by going to Settings & Privacy – Settings – Tab bar.
In the new tab, Facebook users will be able to see stories, videos, posts, birthdays, and invitations only from friends.
"Social media should feel social. In that spirit, we’ll be adding more fun, simple experiences to help you connect and share on Facebook throughout the year," the company said in a statement.
