Bethesda is preparing to unveil the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake in the coming weeks, and the game's release could take place within a few months, likely before June 2025. VGC writes about this.

New information about the remake comes from insider NateTheHate, whose information has been confirmed many times before. While there has been no official announcement from Bethesda yet, the first mentions of the game appeared back in 2023 from one of the developers, and the project was later mentioned in court documents. VGC's sources also confirmed that an announcement is not far off.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is being developed by Virtuos, a studio with over four thousand employees and mostly focused on supporting AAA projects. The studio has previously worked on franchises such as Call of Duty, Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, BioShock, Battlefield, Uncharted, and Horizon. Virtuos is also currently helping with the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.

According to previous reports, the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake is being reworked on Unreal Engine 5 with significant changes to six game systems – stamina, stealth, blocking, archery, hit reactions, and HUD. Blocking in the upcoming game will be similar to Souls-like games, the stamina system will be a bit simpler, and the HUD will receive changes to make it more understandable for new players.
