French RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from Sandfall Interactive has sold 5 million copies across all platforms in just five months after its release in April 2025. The game's original soundtrack (Spotify, YouTube), created by Lorien Testard, has garnered over 333 million streams.

To thank fans for their support, the developers have announced a massive free update for all platforms. Key new features include:

  • New game location: Expedition 33 characters will find themselves in a new location with unique enemies and surprises to explore.
  • New challenging bosses: additional challenges for players who have completed the main game.
  • Updated costumes: new appearance options for all team members, expanding customization options.
  • Localization: Ukrainian has been added along with Czech, Spanish for Latin America, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
  • Other surprises: Sandfall promises a number of new features and content for players.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 had a explosive release, selling 3.3 million copies in 33 days. The game's success was not even hindered by Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which was released without warning 2 days before Expedition.
