Oura Ring 4 smart ring gets ceramic version for $499 and charging case
Leading smart ring maker Oura has introduced a ceramic version of last year's Ring 4 in new colors: Tide, Petal, Cloud, and Midnight. In addition, the company is releasing a new portable charging case for $99.
The new model is made of zirconium ceramic, which Oura says can scratch some metals. It also doesn't have a protective layer, so it won't fade over time.
The ceramic version of the Oura Ring 4 will be slightly thicker than the regular one — 3.51 millimeters versus 2.88 mm. It will also be slightly heavier — from 5.1 to 8.1 grams compared to 3.3-5.2 g. Another difference is the cost: the standard version costs from $349, which is already $50 more than the Oura Ring 3, and the ceramic one — from $499.
In addition to the new version of the ring, Oura also announced support for multiple Ring 4 rings on the same account. Now you can have multiple accessories and choose them for different activities or outfits. The update will be available on October 1, 2025 on iOS and October 20 on Android.
Another new feature is a separate charging case for the Oura Ring 4, which will allow you to charge the smart ring on the go up to five times. One full charge will take about 90 minutes.
Oura also introduced a new Health Panels feature, which will allow users in the US to sign up for a blood test at their nearest Quest Diagnostics location for $99. Once the results are received, ring owners will be able to view 50 biomarkers related to cardiovascular and metabolic health in the app, as well as discuss them with the Oura Advisor AI chatbot.
