According to documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's salary increased by 49% to $1.5 million. His cash bonus also increased by $1 million (50% compared to 2024), and the amount of shares issued to him reached $38.8 million. Huang's total compensation reached $49.9 million, writes CNBC.
The report notes that the compensation committee believes the increase is fair and emphasizes that this is Huang's first salary increase in a decade.
NVIDIA has seen record growth in recent years, driven by strong demand for its chips that power complex AI systems. In fiscal 2025, the company increased revenue by 114% to $130.5 billion.
NVIDIA shares rose more than ninefold from the end of 2022 to the end of 2024. Huang's stake in the company (about 3.5%) is now valued at about $94 billion.
In addition to his salary, Huang received $3.5 million for expenses related to home security, consulting, and driver services (last year — $2.2 million).
For comparison, Google reported spending $8.27 million on security and travel for its CEO Sundar Pichai — 22% more than a year earlier.
