Bose has announced that starting February 18, 2026, the company will stop supporting the cloud-based features of its SoundTouch Wi-Fi speakers and soundbars.

SoundTouch systems, which were introduced in 2013, allowed you to play music on multiple speakers simultaneously over Wi-Fi and had built-in access to services like Spotify and TuneIn. However, starting in early 2026, these features will no longer work.

"Bose SoundTouch systems were introduced into the market in 2013. Technology has evolved since then and we’re no longer able to sustain the development and support of the cloud infrastructure that powers this older generation of products. We remain committed to creating new listening experiences for our customers built on modern technologies," the company said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Bose says that users whose SoundTouch products have Bluetooth or AUX, such as the SoundTouch 10, 20 Series III, and 30 Series III, will be able to continue using them to play music, just without all the smart features. However, the company "can’t guarantee long-term performance."

Also, SoundTouch-enabled home theater systems, including the Lifestyle 650, SoundTouch 130, and SoundTouch 300 Soundbar, should continue to feature HDMI and optical inputs, as well as Bluetooth. However, SoundTouch streaming and app control features will no longer be available.
