The ASUS ProArt P16 creative laptop has been updated with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card and a 16-inch OLED touchscreen display. It will be available in October for $3,999, The Verge reports.

The OLED display has a resolution of 3840×2400 pixels, a peak brightness of 1600 nits with HDR, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Inside, the laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 64 GB of RAM, 4 TB of storage, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. From the ports, the ProArt P16 offers one Type-C USB4 with a speed of 40 Gbps, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps, HDMI 2.1, 3.5 mm jack and a slot for SD Express 7.0 memory cards.

The ASUS ProArt P16 is aimed at creators and is a competitor to the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Despite its high specifications, the laptop has a thin body of only 14.9 mm and a relatively light weight of 1.95 kg. However, such compactness can cause throttling under heavy load. According to ASUS, the GeForce RTX 5090 in the laptop is limited to a TGP of 120 W, while NVIDIA claims that this graphics card is capable of operating at up to 150 W.

By the way, in addition to the new flagship laptop, ASUS also continues to offer more affordable and modest versions. In particular, buyers will continue to have access to the 2024 ProArt P16 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 priced at $1999, as well as the 2025 models with RTX 5070 and 5080 graphics cards starting at $2499.
