Following iOS 26, Apple has released a new operating system for Mac — macOS Tahoe 26.
The update is now available for download on compatible devices: all Macs with Apple Silicon chips, as well as the 2019-2020 MacBook Pro, 2020 iMac and later, and 2019+ Mac Pro. For those who can't upgrade to Tahoe, macOS 15.7 and 14.8 updates are available.
The main change to the system is the Liquid Glass design with translucent elements that extends to icons, folders, Dock, menus, and toolbars. You can now customize folder colors, add emoji, and personalize Control Center by placing elements.
Spotlight has received significant updates: it now allows you to perform hundreds of actions — from creating events and notifications to launching shortcuts. And all this without opening any applications.
New Apple Intelligence features have appeared, but they are not available to users in Ukraine.
The system also added a Phone app with support for calls via Continuity and spam filtering, a new Apple Games App for managing your game library, and much more.
