Apple has released iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1, the first patches for the new operating systems. The firmware is now available for download on all compatible devices.
According to Apple, iOS 26.0.1 fixes several issues that owners of the new iPhones have been experiencing. In particular, it fixes a bug that could cause photos on the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro to contain artifacts in certain lighting conditions. It also resolves issues with cellular and Wi-Fi that could be intermittent on these models.
In addition, the update fixes the disappearance of icons after applying custom shades and a bug that caused VoiceOver to be disabled for some users after upgrading to iOS 26.
iPadOS 26.0.1 fixes the same issue with VoiceOver, as well as a bug that could cause the floating keyboard to change position unexpectedly.
For users who cannot install iOS 26.0.1, the company has additionally released the iOS 18.7.1 update.
