In May 2025, Apple introduced a built-in feature in Apple Music for transferring music from other streaming services. At the time, this feature was only launched in a few regions, but the company is now rolling it out globally, writes MacRumors.
The update applies to all countries except mainland China, Myanmar, and Russia. This means that the feature is also available in Ukraine, but it has not yet appeared in the Mezha editorial office. The option will probably become active with the next server update or application update.
To use the feature of transferring music to the Apple Music library, users need to have an iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone, or any other device.
On iPhone and iPad, the import feature is available in the "Apps" tab in Settings. On Android, it's located directly in Apple Music settings. After that, the user needs to select the desired service, log in to their account, and determine what data to transfer.
This feature will allow Apple Music users to transfer saved songs, albums, and playlists from Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, and YouTube Music. Apple has partnered with SongShift to implement it.
