Apple is likely to unveil a new line of devices equipped with the M5 chip this week. According to Bloomberg journalist and Apple tech expert Mark Gurman, the iPad Pro, the base MacBook Pro, and the Vision Pro headset are expected to be updated in the coming days. All of these devices are expected to receive the latest Apple M5 processor.
Gurman previously said that the launch of the MacBook Pro with the M5 is planned for late 2025 or early 2026, but now he notes that the company is already approaching mass production of its new laptops. As additional evidence of this, the journalist notes the reduction in stocks of the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip in Apple stores, while the models with the M4 Pro and M4 Max remain available.
Mark Gurman also clarified that the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips will not be ready in sufficient quantities until early next year, so they should not be expected in the October announcement.
The presentation of new products, according to his forecast, will take place without a separate event - Apple will probably limit itself to an online announcement, as it did with the current MacBook Pro in October last year.
Earlier, thanks to the same Mark Gurman, it became known that the Russians "leaked" a video of the unannounced Apple iPad Pro M5 to the network. As it turned out later, these devices were stolen from Apple's European warehouses.
