YouTuber JerryRigEverything, who damages literally every gadget he comes across, tested the build quality of the iPhone 16e. And to "not get up twice", after the classic series of tests, the blogger also took a look inside the new product.

Zach Nelson's routine test includes testing the glass for scratch resistance, heating the display with fire, checking the base metal, and bending the case (which occasionally throws up unexpected surprises).

The iPhone 16e, quite expectedly, passed most of the tests, retaining all functionality. The proprietary Ceramic Shield protective glass has not undergone significant updates, so scratches can remain on it under the same conditions as on most modern smartphones. The metal case is also easily scratched, and the metal keys are well fixed in place.

And most importantly, the chassis takes into account many past mistakes, so it practically does not deform under pressure; the case does not open or bend, and the glass does not crack.

Meanwhile, Nelson took the device apart without too much care, praising the battery locking system, which now requires little tension to uninstall, which is more convenient and safer than previous options.

A little earlier and much tidier, the iPhone 16e was also disassembled by iFixit specialists, who also like the new battery removal system, and the overall repairability rating of the smartphone reached 7/10.
