Apple has updated its Shazam app, improving the syncing feature for adding songs to Apple Music and Spotify that have been identified. MacRumors reports.
According to the version 18.9 update notes, Shazam will now add songs recognized through the Music Recognition feature on iPhone and iPad to a special My Shazam Tracks playlist available to Spotify and Apple Music users.
Previously, songs that were manually recognized through the Shazam app were included in this list, but songs detected using the feature in Control Center were not included.
We've made syncing songs to Apple Music and Spotify better than ever! Shazam will now include songs found via Music Recognition in Control Centre, Siri, and Shortcuts to your "My Shazam Tracks" playlist in Apple Music or Spotify.
Don't forget to save your Shazam history and sync it across all your devices. To do this, turn on iCloud syncing in Shazam settings. To update your synced songs, Apple recommends turning "Sync your songs" off and back on in the app's settings.
