Czech studio SCS Software announced during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 that American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 will finally appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The studio hasn't announced when the games will be available on the new platforms, but they already have pages on the Sony and Microsoft stores where players can add them to their wishlist. SCS Software hasn't revealed any other details about the ports yet.

American Truck Simulator was released on PC, Linux, and MacOS almost 10 years ago — in February 2016. The game allows you to feel the power of legendary American trucks and deliver various cargo across sunny California, sandy Nevada, the Grand Canyon of Arizona, and other regions of the USA.

At the same time, Euro Truck Simulator 2 was released even earlier - in October 2012. In this simulator, players have to travel across Europe and deliver important cargo to dozens of cities, while simultaneously testing their own endurance, skills, and speed.

Console players shouldn't expect any major changes. The PlayStation and Xbox versions will likely only get better optimization and gamepad support. At the same time, fans of the series expect that the work on console optimization will have a positive impact on the PC version as well.

Players are also concerned about mod support. For many, the basic version of the game is enough, but a significant audience considers mods an important part of American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. SCS Software is not providing any details at this time.
