Samsung has announced the release of new mid-range smartphones from the Galaxy A series. The flagship of this series is the Galaxy A56 5G model, which we have already talked about. Now it's time to talk about the younger models - the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G.

Both smartphones have the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED displays with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the same 5,000mAh batteries, and both are IP67 rated.

As for the differences, the Galaxy A36 5G is equipped with the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which operates at a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz, while the Galaxy A26 5G has the Exynos 1380 chip, which has the same frequency and was installed in last year's Galaxy A35.

The Galaxy A36 5G's main camera module consists of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. The selfie camera has an updated 12MP sensor. The Galaxy A26 5G has the same main and ultra-wide-angle camera as the A36, except for the macro lens, which has a 2MP extension. The selfie camera in the A26 5G has a 13MP sensor.

As mentioned, both smartphones have 5,000 mAh batteries, but they support different charging speeds. While the Galaxy A26 5G supports a maximum charging speed of 25 W, the A36 5G already supports faster charging at 45 W, just like the older Galaxy A56 5G model.

Both smartphones run on Android 15 with the new version of One UI 7 and will receive 6 OS updates and 6 years of security patches. Also, both models received minimum memory options of 6/128 GB, and maximum - 8/256 GB. Although, the A36 5G, like the A56 5G, may have a 12/256 GB option in some regions.

The base variant of the Galaxy A36 5G in Europe is priced at €380, and the top-end variant is priced at €450. As for the Galaxy A26 5G, the base variant costs €300 and the 256GB variant is priced at €370.
