Ajax Systems opens Mechanical Design & Robotics Lab together with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI). This is the fifth lab opened as part of the Ajax Next initiative.
The space is located at the Instrument Engineering Faculty of KPI and is designed for 20 workplaces. There is a design area with computer equipment for classroom work and a workshop for developing models.
Equipment such as lathes and milling machines, robotic systems and measuring instruments allow students to learn design, robotics and gain practical skills. The lab also features student developments from previous internships, such as a robotic manipulator for moving objects along a programmed trajectory.
"I myself studied at KPI, and for me it is symbolic to open a new laboratory here. We want young people to start creating as early as possible. And invention requires not only knowledge and desire, but also resources. At Ajax Systems, we believe that there are no limits to development, and we will continue to support young talents so that they can realize themselves after studying. The main thing is to create, no matter what," said Oleksandr Konotopsky, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Founder of Ajax Systems
The laboratory will be staffed by a dedicated team of teachers, engineers, and administrators, with the company's specialists in constant contact to provide training on how to use the equipment and to continuously develop student projects.
The space is open to all university students. In addition to teaching, the laboratory will also be used to host workshops on robotics, automation, metrology, optics, practical classes, and internship programs from Ajax Systems.
As early as November 2025, students will be able to join the first program in Mechanical Engineering.
