Bose has introduced the second generation of the QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones, which the company first showed off almost two years ago. The name remains the same, but the new version finally supports lossless audio over USB-C, while retaining the analog connector for those who don't always want to use a wireless connection.

The headphones are available for pre-order at $449 — a slight increase from the original $429. Sales are expected to begin on October 2, 2025. The model will be available in four colors.

The battery now lasts up to 30 hours with noise cancellation on. Aware Mode automatically boosts ANC to block out harsh, loud sounds. With Immersive Audio with head tracking on, the headphones last up to 23 hours. If you turn off noise cancellation via the app, the battery life can be extended to 45 hours.

The new Cinema Mode creates a movie theater effect by placing background sounds and making dialogue clearer. Bass is also improved at high volumes. The headphones also automatically turn on and connect to a paired device, and enter power saving mode when removed or placed in the case.

The QuietComfort Ultra supports Bluetooth 5.4 and SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive codecs. Android users can quickly connect via Google Fast Pair, as well as Spotify Tap.
