Overwatch 2 will reintroduce loot boxes two years after their removal
Blizzard has announced that 2025 will be one of the most significant years in the history of Overwatch 2 and among the details of Season 15, it revealed that the game will return to the game with the return of loot boxes.
Blizzard removed the loot boxes from Overwatch 2 during its release in October 2022, switching to a system of season passes without random rewards. However, the element of randomness is now back.
With the start of Overwatch 2 Season 15, players will once again be able to purchase and open loot boxes. This time, however, they will immediately receive a warning about the likelihood of obtaining items of varying rarity.
