There were a lot of new products shown at CES 2025, some of which were more interesting, or at least stranger than others. One such announcement is Code27 Character Livehouse, a digital desktop companion with anime girls inside from SyBran Innovation. PCGamer writes about it.
The Code27 website reveals some details about this device and its purpose. The device itself is designed as a cylinder with a 1920×1200 pixel display that will display animated 3D characters of the users’ choice. These can be either characters already created by the company or created by users.
SyBran Innovation offers a set of ready-made large speech models, each of which has undergone a wide range of preliminary training. Users will be able to customize each character to create a unique persona that will be a pleasure to interact with.
The Code27 website lists four main goals that were taken into account when creating the product. The first is to have a character that the user really likes and is special to them. The second is the desire to have not just a static video, but a character with a soul. The third goal is for the character to be able to listen, share joy, and appreciate the moments they experience together. Finally, it is important that the character is attentive to every moment they spend together.
SyBran Innovation has not yet started selling digital character houses, but plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign for the Code27 Character Livehouse. The price of the device will vary from $400 to $500.
