As usual, CES 2025 will feature a lot of smart home devices, including doorbells with cameras and locks with smartphone apps. And Lockly has combined all these into one gadget in a very stylish way.
The Verge magazine drew attention to the new product.
The large, elongated Lockly Styla has a built-in 2K camera with infrared night mode. There are also speakers and microphones for two-way communication. This way, the user can see a guest or, for example, a courier from their smartphone. At the same time, the camera can detect proximity (up to 4 metres away) and send notifications, as well as record events.
The lock’s functions are also numerous. You can open it in a variety of ways. There’s a dynamic digital block for 6-8-digit PINs, fingerprint scanning, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support, RFID, QR code, the same smartphone app, and, of course, classic keys.
You can set different rules, grant one-time or temporary access, create separate rules for specific users, etc.
There is built-in Wi-Fi to support all functions, and the battery life is provided by rechargeable batteries (the manufacturer provides two for quick replacement). One charge should last for 8 months of operation.
In addition to all this, it is also a rather beautiful door handle. You can choose from black, grey, or gold body colours.
Sales of Lockly Styla in the US will begin in the third quarter of 2025. However, the price is hardly affordable – $699.99.
