LG Electronics, in collaboration with Famobi, a German HTML game developer, presents the first TV games that can be played with Magic Remote. The new projects are fully optimized for seamless play with the remote and do not require a controller or any other additional devices.
Among the games presented are Cut the Rope, Thief Puzzle, as well as many projects from the Play.Works catalog, including Wheel of Fortune, Tetris, PAC-MAN, and more. You will also be able to play SpongeBob SquarePants Bounce using the remote control.
“Through numerous partnerships, LG consistently introduces new titles to its webOS platform, demonstrating its commitment to delivering compelling big-screen entertainment for family and friends to enjoy, with a steadily growing collection of 600 casual game titles,” the company’s blog says.
In addition, the company has entered into a partnership with Simulmedia, an innovator in digital approaches to television advertising, to implement PlayerWON. According to LG, this technology allows for unobtrusive integration of advertising directly into the gameplay.
