Pickup trucks are a rather specific and hardly mass-marketed class of vehicles. However, they still deserve attention. Especially when it comes to the Peugeot Landtrek pickup truck, which is sold in Ukraine and has just received a batch of updates.
Not much has changed outside and inside the cabin. For example, the exterior of the Peugeot Landtrek has a new grille and a giant inscription on the rear side of the body. And the interior has a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster and a new multimedia system. However, this update for the Peugeot Landtrek is the case when there are more technical changes than design ones.
After all, the main change is something that has long been expected and even requested for the Peugeot Landtrek: the appearance of a 200-horsepower 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine under the hood. Moreover, the new engine will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the appearance of permanent all-wheel drive is also promised. Finally, there are rear disc brakes, an expanded set of safety systems, and a Drive Mode button for selecting a driving style: normal, sport, or sand.
I wonder what from this list will come to Ukraine and when exactly it will happen? And also, a rather painful question – how much will such a Peugeot Landtrek pickup cost? Because currently, the Peugeot Landtrek is one of the most affordable cars in its class. In many ways, it’s thanks to its fairly simple technology. The upgrade promises to make it much better; but it will probably also be much more expensive.
