Shortly after updating the gasoline version of the Ford Puma, the company introduced a completely new electric version of the crossover – Ford Puma Gen-E.

Visually, the Ford Puma Gen-E electric car differs in only a few details: a cap instead of a grille, a modified front bumper, and its own wheels. And also a very bright yellow color with the symbolic name Electric. Speaking of the interior, the new Ford Puma Gen-E retains the front panel with a pair of displays (12- and 12.8-inch), and also adds a new center console with a miniature selector instead of the already unnecessary automatic lever.

However, it is immediately clear that in the case of an electric vehicle, the most interesting are the technical characteristics. The most important thing is that the Ford Puma Gen-E electric crossover has a 43 kWh battery, which should be enough for an autonomous range of up to 376 km – a rather mediocre figure for today. However, thanks to the support of fast charging with a capacity of up to 100 kW, the battery can be replenished within 10-80% in just 23 minutes.

Perhaps the novelty will stand out in terms of power and dynamics? The Ford Puma Gen-E crossover is equipped with a single 124 kW or 168 hp electric motor that drives the front wheels. Acceleration to “hundreds” is promised in 8 seconds flat, with a top speed of 160 km/h.

Sales of the Ford Puma Gen-E are scheduled to start in the spring of 2025. The price is already known – for example, in Germany, such an electric car will cost from €36,900.
