Lenovo is preparing to release a new, more affordable portable gaming system. Recently, the first official renders of the device appeared on the Internet, and now WinFuture.de has shared the technical characteristics of the new product.

The console will be officially called Lenovo Legion Go S (8ARP1) and will have an 8-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 in 16:10 format and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition, the screen will be touch-sensitive, just like in Legion Go. However, Lenovo decided to abandon the ability to disconnect controllers.

The system will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 GO chip, which will have eight cores with a clock speed of 3.0 GHz and four megabytes of L2 cache. The chip is based on the Zen3+ architecture with an integrated AMD Radeon 680M graphics processor.

The Legion Go S will also have 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which is not replaceable or upgradeable. The device will also have a 512-gigabyte SSD drive with PCIe 4.0 interface. Wi-Fi 6E 2×2 AX and Bluetooth 5.3 modules will be used for wireless communication.

The device will have a 55.5 Wh battery, which is slightly larger than the Legion Go with an 8.8-inch display based on the AMD Z1 Extreme. The new device will run Windows 11 Home.

Lenovo Legion Go S will cost about 600 euros in Europe. The device will be released in the near future.
