On December 3, 2024, Intel will present new discrete graphics cards codenamed Battlemage. Thanks to insider Roland Quandt, we already know the characteristics of the basic version of Arc B570.

Leaked materials containing details of the dual-fan ASRock Arc B570 Challenger OC GPU indicate that the new chip may have 18 Xe2 cores and 10 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 160-bit memory bus.

In addition, it is known that the Intel Arc B570 will come with an 8-pin PCIe power connector and a 2.6 GHz GPU clock speed, as well as support for HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.

There are also rumors about the specs of a slightly more powerful Arc B570 sibling, the Arc B580. It may have 20 Xe2 cores, 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit memory bus, a GPU clock speed of 2.8 GHz, and an 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Judging by these specifications, Intel Battlemage chips are designed to compete with more affordable graphics cards such as Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti and AMD Radeon RX 7600.
