Garmin has introduced a new navigation system Tread 2 for off-road tourism. The device costs $699, but some features will require additional payment. The new product has not yet appeared in the company’s Ukrainian market, but it is already available in the United States.
Garmin Tread 2 is equipped with a 6-inch color screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720p.
The battery life is up to 5 hours at maximum brightness and up to 7 hours at reduced brightness. The device is certified in accordance with MIL-STD-810, IPX7, and IP6X standards. This means that it should be impervious to dust and water.
Maps can be stored on the 64 GB internal storage, and there is also room for a microSD card. Turn-by-turn route navigation is supported, as well as integrated snowmobile routes in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
There are 3D terrain and road maps on board, and you can also use Outdoor Maps+ with premium map content if you pay for a subscription. Routing can be done depending on the size and weight of your vehicle.
In addition, the Tread 2 is equipped with a GNSS module with GPS and Galileo sensors, a barometric altimeter, and a compass. GPX files can be imported to the device. The new product also supports compatibility with dog tracking devices.
