Finally, Suzuki has unveiled its first full-fledged electric car – the Suzuki eVitara crossover. But it has nothing in common with the well-known Vitara model: the addition of the letter “e” changes everything!

First, the overall dimensions. The Suzuki eVitara electric car has a 4.275-meter length and a 2.7-meter wheelbase – for example, the latter is 200 mm longer than the wheelbase of the Suzuki Vitara. Secondly, the Suzuki eVitara electric crossover has a radically different design: different headlights and lights, different wings and wheel arches, rear doors with hidden handles – it is a completely different design.

Thirdly, it is clear that there will be exclusively electric modifications of the new model. The base version of the Suzuki eVitara will have one 106 kW (144 hp) electric motor, a 42 kWh battery, and front-wheel drive. The improved version gets an electric motor with a capacity of 128 kW (174 hp) and a 61 kWh battery, but the drive is still front-wheel drive. Finally, the third option is the Suzuki eVitara electric car with all-wheel drive and two electric motors with a total capacity of 135 kW (184 hp) and a large battery of 61 kWh.

Finally, the interior is also completely different. The Suzuki eVitara electric car has a front panel with a minimum number of buttons, two combined displays, a center console with a round switch, and rectangular ventilation deflectors. Taking into account the increase in size and wheelbase, we can expect a more spacious interior and a larger trunk.

The new Suzuki eVitara electric crossover will be produced at a plant in India, but will become a global model for different markets. The launch of the electric vehicle is scheduled for spring-summer 2025, with a similar electric clone from Toyota also due to appear by then.
